Target species :

Calves, lambs, pigs, rabbits and poultry.
Indications for use : 

For the treatment and metaphylaxis of septicemia, digestive infections, and respiratory infections caused by bacteria sensitive to oxytetracycline in calves, lambs, pigs, rabbits, and poultry. The presence of the disease in the herd or group must be confirmed before using the product.

Contraindications :

• Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to oxytetracycline or other tetracyclines.

• Do not use in cases of known resistance to tetracyclines. 

dosage  and  Routes of administration : 

Administer orally in drinking water, milk, or liquid food. It is important to determine the body weight of the animals accurately to ensure proper dosing.

• Calves, Lambs, and Pigs: 20 mg of oxytetracycline per kg of body weight daily for 3 to 5 days. This equates to 400 mg of oral powder per 10 kg of body weight daily, divided into two doses.

• Poultry and Rabbits: 20 mg of oxytetracycline per kg of body weight daily for 3 to 5 days. This equates to 400 mg of oral powder per liter of drinking water.

Adjust the concentration of oxytetracycline based on the animals' actual consumption of medicated water, milk, or liquid food to ensure the correct dose is administered. The maximum solubility of the oral powder is 5 g/L at 20°C and 3 g/L at 5°C. When preparing stock solutions for dosing pumps, ensure the concentration does not exceed the maximum solubility. Fresh medicated drinking water should be prepared every 24 hours. 

Withdrawal period :

• Meat and Offal: 7 days

• Eggs: Zero days
