Target species

Chickens, , turkeys, pigs, and pre-ruminant calves.

Indications for use:

For the treatment and metaphylaxis of respiratory diseases caused by bacteria sensitive to tilmicosin:

• Pigs: Treatment and metaphylaxis of respiratory diseases caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae.

• Chickens (excluding hens whose eggs are for human consumption): Treatment and metaphylaxis of respiratory diseases caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum and M. synovia.

• Turkeys: Treatment and metaphylaxis of respiratory diseases caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum and M. synovia.

• Cattle (pre-ruminant calves): Treatment and metaphylaxis of bovine respiratory diseases caused by Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Mycoplasma bovis, and M. dispar.

The presence of the disease in the group or herd must be confirmed before administering the product.  :

Contraindications:

• Do not allow horses or other equines to drink water containing tilmicosin.

• Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active substance or excipients.

• Do not administer to ruminants with active ruminal function. 

dosage   and  Routes of administration:

Administer orally by diluting the product in drinking water or milk replacer:

 • Pigs: Add to drinking water at a concentration of 200 mg of tilmicosin per liter (80 ml per 100 liters), to provide a daily dose of 15 to 20 mg of tilmicosin per kg of body weight for 5 days.

• Chickens and Turkeys: Add to drinking water at a concentration of 75 mg of tilmicosin per liter (30 ml per 100 liters), providing a daily dose of 15 to 20 mg of tilmicosin per kg in chickens, and 10 to 27 mg per kg in turkeys for 3 days.

• Cattle (pre-ruminant calves): Add to milk replacer at a rate of 1 ml per 20 kg of live weight, providing 12.5 mg of tilmicosin per kg, twice daily for 3 to 5 consecutive days.

Medicated drinking water should be prepared every 24 hours, and medicated milk replacer should be prepared every 6 hours. Adjust the concentration of tilmicosin based on the animals' water or milk consumption. 

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

• Pigs: 14 days (meat and offal)

• Chickens: 12 days (meat and offal)

• Turkeys: 19 days (meat and offal)

• Cattle (pre-ruminant calves): 42 days (meat and offal)
