Cattle and sheep.

Indications for use :

• Cattle: For the treatment and metaphylaxis of respiratory tract infections caused by Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, and Histophilus somni. Metaphylactic treatment should only be administered when the disease is present in the herd.

• Sheep: For the treatment of respiratory tract infections caused by Mannheimia haemolytica and Pasteurella multocida. 

Contraindications :

• Do not administer to adult bulls and rams intended for breeding.

• Avoid use in animals with known hypersensitivity to florfenicol or any of the excipients. 

 Dosage and route of administration:

• Clean the cap before each use. Use a sterile, dry syringe and needle.

• Determine the animal's weight accurately to ensure correct dosage and avoid underdosing.

• Avoid puncturing the cap more than 20 times. For multiple treatments, a sampling needle is recommended to reduce punctures.

Cattle:

• Intramuscular: Administer 20 mg of florfenicol per kg of body weight (1 ml of solution per 15 kg) twice, 48 hours apart, using a 16-gauge needle.

• Subcutaneous: Administer 40 mg of florfenicol per kg of body weight (2 ml of solution per 15 kg) once. Do not exceed 10 ml per injection site, and injections must be given at the neck.

Sheep:

• Intramuscular: Administer 20 mg of florfenicol per kg of live weight (1 ml of solution per 15 kg) daily for 3 consecutive days. Do not exceed 4 ml per injection site.

Metaphylaxis:

• Cattle (subcutaneous): Administer 40 mg of florfenicol per kg of body weight (2 ml of solution per 15 kg) once. The volume should not exceed 10 ml per injection site, and injections must be given at the neck. 

Withdrawal period :

• Cattle:

      o Meat and offal: 30 days (intramuscular), 44 days (subcutaneous)

• Sheep:

      o Meat and offal: 39 days

      o Milk: Do not use in animals producing milk for human consumption.
