Target species
Horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, poultry and game.
Indications for use
• Treatment of Vitamin C deficiency.
• Supportive treatment for fatigue, especially during infections and periods of stress.
Contraindications
Do not administer to animals with known hypersensitivity to ascorbic acid.
Dosage and route of administration
• Poultry: Administer 50 to 100 mg of ascorbic acid per kg of body weight daily for 3 to 5 days, which corresponds to 0.5 to 1 g of powder per liter of drinking water per day for 3 to 5 days.
• Other Species: Administer 10 to 20 mg of ascorbic acid per kg of body weight daily for 3 to 5 days, which equates to 0.1 to 0.2 g of powder per 10 kg of body weight daily for 3 to 5 days.
The dosage should be adjusted according to the actual consumption of water, milk, or liquid food based on the animal’s physiological and clinical condition.
